David has been an independent adjuster since 1989. He specializes in liability claims ranging from construction, general, and professional, to marine losses. David is a Past President of the Insurance Institute of B.C. and is a past director of the B.C. Insurance Adjuster’s Association. He currently sits as a director of the Canadian Independent Adjusters Association and the Insurance Council of B.C. He has recently been appointed to the Academic Council of the Insurance Institute of Canada for a four year term.

David has instructed many courses for the Insurance Institute of B.C. and presents seminars around the industry.

David lives in North Vancouver where he is married and has two young boys.

Myron brings to our firm a unique insight from his various experiences. He has worked in shipping, manufacturing, sales, and extensively in the hospitality industry. Myron obtained his LL.B. from the University of Liverpool in 2004. Since then, he has spent a year working for Alberta Justice General Prosecutions Branch, and subsequently attended UBC Law School to further his eductation. Myron is currently completing his CIP.

Walker has a degree in fine arts from the University of Western Ontario. In his final year he won best student film. After graduating, Walker pursued his passion for traveling. He has visited Southeast Asia, Central America, Europe, and Africa. In 1995 he produced and directed a documentary film on the country of Belize. Since then he has worked in the film industry as a 2nd assistant director in commercial production. Walker's experience in the demanding film industry has prepared him well for life as an adjuster. He is currently completing his CIP. Walker is married and lives in Vancouver.

Tom Drechsel has a considerable investigative background with over 21 years with the RCMP. Most recently he spent more than six years with Service Canada and their Employment Insurance Commission as a Fraud and Identity Theft Investigator. Tom has a BA from York University - Toronto.

Dan joined Advance Claims after working in the transportation industry for over 25 years. His knowledge and experience with respect to transportation type losses is exceptional and insightful. Dan can provide risk management services that will give underwriters a unique and detailed view of their risks. His experience also makes an immediate impact on the handling of a claim in terms of coverage assessment, mitigation, and resolution of the loss.

Dave has joined us after working for many years in the transportation industry and for some of its service providers. We first met Dave when he handled claims for a large trucking firm centered in Delta, BC. He most recently worked at a large manufacturing and servicing company. His extensive experience with transportation equipment and cargo losses has proved an immediate asset to our Transportation Division.

Terry is designated a Chartered Insurance Professional and has been adjusting since 1981. He is also qualified as an advanced commercial mediator.

He is past chair of the Langley Memorial Hospital Board, Langeley senior Citizen's Housing Society, and the Court of Revision. He is past President of the Westminster Club and presently sits as a director on the board of Pacifica Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centre.

Terry formed Coast Pacific Insurance Adjusters in 1989. In 2001, he acquired Sterling Adjusters and operated both firms as Sterling Pacific Adjusters. Sterling pacific has now merged with Advance Claims as Advance Claims Groups commercial risk division.

Judy Stewart has been an independent adjuster since 1983. She specializes in personal lines, commercial and casualty losses. Judy has completed several justice institute courses including fire investigation and statement taking and analysis. She is a preferred adjuster for Lloyds of London as well as a regional insurance company. She is a chartered insurance professional.

Malcolm Bell is the manager of our Chilliwack Office. Malcolm is a very experienced Insurance Adjuster handling commercial property losses, personal lines and liability losses for many years in the Fraser Valley. He was an original principal in Sterling Adjusters prior to their joining Coast Pacific Insurance Adjusters to form Sterling Pacific Insurance Adjusters. Malcolm came to Advance Claims with the merge of Sterling Pacific in 2006. Malcolm services the Chilliwack - Hope area and is called upon by General Insurers to attend to claims as far away as Lillooet.

Delaraine brings with her 16 years experience in the insurance industry. She began her insurance career with AMA Insurance in Alberta as a staff adjuster and then moved to be an Independent Adjuster in 1995, working with three different independent firms in BC and Alberta. Delaraine has been working as an independent in BC since 2005. She completed her CIP in 1995 and CRM in 2004.

Delaraine is experienced in handling casualty, transportation and cargo losses, as well as commercial and personal line property claims.

Shawn is a senior adjuster specializing in auto liability, casualty, and marine losses. He has been adjusting for over 15 years with a brief hiatus working with our provincial regulator. We are delighted to have Shawn join our team providing immediate strength to our Island presence.

Shawn is involved in the Insurance Institute of BC - Vancouver Island Chapter as the chair of the Seminar Committee. He is also an instructor of their evening courses.
